Flashback Friday

I stole this idea from another blog.... I thought it would be a neat way to share memories with you by routinely posting something from our past. Although every Friday is a bit ambitious, I'm sure it won't be too terribly difficult to come up with something since I'm constantly reminded of things in my past. (I hear that reminiscing is apart of getting old.)

So, here you go-- the first installment of 'Flashback Friday.'


Andrew and I purchased this house in May 2004 in St. Johns, Michigan. I loved this house! We felt so lucky to live in a brand new home as first-time homeowners (apparently we spoiled ourselves because all of our homes were new builds!)

This house is so special to me because 1. It was our first home-- duh!; 2. It had an unfinished room above the garage that made for a great project for Andrew; 3. I thought it was the perfect size for our little family of 4 (including one dog and one cat) 4. It was in a great neighborhood in a great town that I would have been happy to raise my kids in; 5. It had a beautiful field in the backyard; 6. Adelyn was conceived here (our little souvenir from Michigan-- ha!); and 7. We were able to sell it when we needed to after only being in it for one year!
